Polariod

I have always been a fan of the Polaroid. As a kid the instant gratification that it provides is great. Even as an adult hearing that sound of the camera spitting out the polariod, and waiting and anticipating as the white square takes shape. Shadows form, faces become people you love or hate. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and summer BBQ's have all been infused with the history of polariods. From the hard core artist to the mom recording her son's first birthday they have been around. And now there not. Its pretty obvious that the digital age would pretty much bring things to an end. But like I said before, a digital camera can't provide that moment of waiting. That moment of excitement we I used to wait and see what was gonna happen.

Heres to you Polaroid

I agree with you, Andrew. The anticipation that builds while waiting for a Polaroid picture to develop is timeless. The magic behind how a photograph is made has always been exciting to me. However, do I feel that now we are in the digital era some of that excitement is gone. But please keep taking those Polaroid pictures, your excitement for the finished photo definitely gives the picture character.
